A LAST minute Alloa goal meant that Rangers went seven points clear of second placed Falkirk this weekend.
Colin Hamilton netted in the 90th minute to steal a point against the Bairns, which meant Gers extended their lead at the top of the table. John Baird had converted a penalty 22 minutes from time for the away side but they couldn’t hold on to close the game out.
That result also saw Alloa pull three points clear of Livingston at the foot of the table. The Lions were beaten 1-0 by Hibernian, through a free-kick from on loan Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson. The Hibees leapfrogged Raith Rovers into third with that win.
That was after Raith jumped above them with a 2-1 win over St Mirren on Friday evening – they hit in the 12th and 87th minutes to come away from Paisley with all three points. Ian Murray’s side are now sitting in eighth, just a point above the relegation play-off spot.
Morton continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-2 draw, away from home, against Queen of the South. There were two own goals in the game, including one from on loan Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto.
St Mirren 1-2 Raith Rovers
Alloa 1-1 Falkirk
Dumbarton 1-2 Rangers
Livingston 0-1 Hibernian
